Did you know that high school students in Petaluma have been working hard behind the scenes to analyze cafeteria waste and building energy use in our schools? Through a program called Climate Action Pathways for Schools, paid internships have led to great discoveries and recommendations. You’ll get a sneak peek at their findings in this student presentation.

2:15-2:45 pm: How to Afford Home Electrification

Do you want to stop using fossil fuels in your home but fear you can’t afford an expensive electrification project? Dori Estrella with the County of Sonoma's Energy and Sustainability Division will present valuable information about the current state of rebates, tax incentives, and financing options for home electrification for people in all income brackets.

3:00-3:45 pm: RagTag Improv!

How can we make the future fun again? By using our imagination to dream up a better path forward, of course! Close out the day with this laugh-out-loud performance by RagTag Improv as they help us imagine a brighter future. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the show!

Café Puente’s Spanish Presentation Room:

If you love cooking with gas, you’ll be surprised to learn how great electric induction cooking can be. Diane Wheeler will show us how it works in a live demo and answer common questions about affordability.

Cool Petaluma’s 4th Annual Local Resource EXPO!

Who will be there this year?

Experts from a wide range of backgrounds will be there to provide information, answer questions, and inspire action in all of our five topic areas. Petaluma City Schools will showcase the amazing work of student-led climate action programs and projects.

Fire Safe Sonoma - Fire Safe Sonoma promotes wildfire preparedness through "Ready Set Go!", wildfire behavior education, community Firewise organizing, and programs like D-space rebates and FREE tool trailer rentals.
