One of the existential threats of our time is the proliferation of plastic waste. From plastic bags to car parts to artifical turf, nearly everything can be and is made from plastic. What happens to all this plastic? What are the consequences? What about recycling? What can I do about it? Find answers to these questions and more in Eileen Haflich’s presentation: The Plastic Crisis.
Bio: Eileen retired from an engineering career in 2015 and has become deeply involved in environmental leadership, advocacy, and education for the past decade. She became an affiliate member of Beyond Plastics in 2022 and has been actively involved in several plastic reduction campaigns.

Bio: Ann Edminster, M.Arch., is a pioneering green building consultant laser-focused on the transition to a climate-stable future. Trained as an architect, she assists homeowners, coaches other building practitioners, facilitates design teams, does research, teaches, and develops education programs designed to elevate skills and knowledge within the building industry. She has authored two books, the award-winning Energy Free: Homes for a Small Planet, and Efficient Wood Use in Residential Construction: A Practical Guide to Saving Wood, Money, and Forests (a cult classic). She has
