Petaluma Certified Green Businesses

The California Green Business Program is a statewide network of local programs helping small to medium-sized businesses reduce their environmental impact. Funded by local government and utility partners, it provides personalized support to businesses that commit to exceeding environmental regulations by reducing pollution, saving water, conserving energy, and protecting human health. In 2026, Cool Petaluma successfully piloted a Green Business Certification cohort program to help 17 local businesses get certified. Together, we TRIPLED the number of Green Businesses in Petaluma! We gathered the cohort every other week in order to support each other through the process of greening our business practices and passing the Certification application.

Latest Green Business Certification Cohort Kicking Off August 2026

On August 24th, our partner April Frederick (the owner of Estuary), will launch the next Green Business Certification Cohort. Her goal is to get 20 more local businesses Green Business Certified to support their financial and ecological sustainability and make Petaluma the greenest city in California!
