Ways to get information:

Ways to get help:

  • Non-emergency police - report crime in progress or traffic hazard (707) 778-4372 https://cityofpetaluma.org/contact-police/

    • “In Progress” situations include incidents that are actively occurring and need immediate attention but do not warrant an emergency response.  For example, someone actively breaking into a vehicle, a physical fight not involving weapons, cars engaged in a street race, or a vehicle blocking the roadway, etc.

    • When calling to report an in-progress event, it is helpful to identify what, where, and who is involved. Physical descriptions of involved persons from head to toe, including clothing and vehicles including make, model, license plate, color, direction of travel, and other distinguishing characteristics.

  • File a police report

    • Use the Police2Citizen online tool for incidents that involve stolen property (with some exceptions), identity theft or fraud, vandalism, or harassing phone calls where there are no known suspects. https://petalumapd.policetocitizen.com/Home

    • File a report in person for stolen vehicles or firearms; harassment or fraud where there is a known suspect; and property stolen from your person. Visit the Police Station at 969 Petaluma Blvd North or by phone (707) 778-4373.

  • SAFE team (707) 781-1234 https://cityofpetaluma.org/safe/

    • Calls for service involving mental health, addiction, and homelessness account for a significant number of calls our police and fire department respond to annually. Through the SAFE program, these calls are responded to by a team with the tools, resources, and knowledge to address the unique needs of community members more effectively.

  • Graffiti Hotline (707) 776-3606

  • Report a problem on the engagEPetaluma phone app https://cityofpetaluma.org/report-public-works-utilities-problem/
